We hope you're having a great summer and wanted to share some important information as you plan ahead!

Important Back-to-School Dates:

August 26: Kindergarten Dessert, 6pm
August 31: New-to-Mendota Open House: Grades 1-4 at 5:30-6:30pm
September 2: Open House, 4-6pm
September 8: First Day Kindergarten
September 9: First Day of School for Grades 1-4
September 15: Picture Day
October 8: Fall Conferences, 3-7pm
October 13: Fall Conferences, 3-7pm

Mendota School Supplies:
For the school year 2026-2027, Mendota Elementary will continue purchasing the majority of the student's school supplies. In return, families will pay a School Supply Fee of $30 /student. Families will still provide backpacks, headphones, and water bottles. If you need assistance with paying the School Supply Fee or Family provided supplies, please email Mr. Goldade at steven.goldade@isd197.org. Check the first item off your list for back to school before this school year is done- pay your School Supply Fee now!

If you have a current student (K-3) in Mendota Elementary, please write their name and current grade. If you have an incoming Kindergartener please note he/she will be an incoming Kindergartner. Donations to help cover the fees for students unable to pay are welcome. The Mendota PTA is helping coordinate the collection of money.

Payment options: $30/student via Check, Cash, or Venmo.

Cash/check and this form can be sent to your child's teacher. Please make checks payable to Mendota PTA.
